Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to every booking, quote and service we provide. By booking with Campsie Removals you confirm you have read and agree to the terms below.
Terms and Conditions

1. About Campsie Removals
Campsie Removals (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Sydney-based removalist service. Our services include local moves, interstate moves, packing, unpacking and the supply of packing materials. These terms form a binding contract between us and the person or entity booking a service (“you”, “the customer”).
2. Quotes & Pricing
Quotes are based on the information you provide at the time of booking — including addresses, move size, floor and access details, date and time, and any extras selected. If the actual job differs from the quote (for example, more items, longer travel time, restricted access, or additional services on the day), the final invoice will reflect the actual time and resources used at our published hourly rates.
Our standard rate begins at $35 per half hour for the first crew tier; full rates for each crew, truck and add-on are confirmed at booking. GST is included where applicable.
3. Deposit, Payment & Refunds
A non-binding $100 deposit is required to confirm a booking and reserve your time slot. The deposit is fully credited against your final invoice on completion of the job.
- Refundable if you cancel more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time.
- Partially refundable ($50 retained) for cancellations between 24–48 hours before the start time.
- Non-refundable if you cancel less than 24 hours before the start time, or fail to be present at the agreed start time.
The balance is payable on completion of the job by card, EFTPOS or bank transfer. Goods remain our responsibility while in transit but will not be delivered until payment of the final invoice is received unless agreed in writing.
4. Booking, Changes & Cancellations
Date, time or address changes are accommodated where possible based on our availability. Changes requested less than 48 hours before the booking may incur a rescheduling fee. We will always try to accommodate genuine emergencies.
5. Service Delivery
We aim to arrive within the 30-minute arrival window agreed at booking. Total job time is measured from the time we arrive at the pickup address until we finish unloading at the destination, including drive time between addresses. Minimum charge is 2 hours unless agreed otherwise in writing.
6. Customer Obligations & Access
You agree to:
- Provide accurate addresses, access information (lifts, stairs, parking, long carries) and contact details.
- Ensure parking is available at both addresses, including any required council or strata permits. Parking fines or towing costs caused by your failure to arrange parking are payable by you.
- Be present (or nominate an authorised representative) at both addresses during loading and unloading.
- Disclose any items requiring special handling (pianos, safes, pool tables, marble, oversized items) at the time of booking. Undeclared specialty items may be refused or charged at a specialist rate on the day.
- Ensure goods are packed and ready to load at the agreed start time unless you have booked our packing service.
7. Liability, Damage & Insurance
We exercise reasonable care when handling your goods. Our standard liability is limited to direct damage caused by our negligence and is capped at the lesser of the repair cost or the depreciated market value of the affected item.
We are not liable for:
- Items packed by the customer that are not labelled “fragile” or “this way up”.
- Pre-existing damage, mechanical or electronic faults, or damage to items inherently susceptible to movement damage (e.g. flat-pack furniture, particle-board furniture, plasma/OLED screens older than 3 years).
- Damage caused by the goods themselves (e.g. liquid leaking from improperly sealed containers).
- Loss or damage to cash, jewellery, share certificates, deeds or other high-value documents — these must travel with you.
We hold public liability insurance. Goods-in-transit insurance is available as an optional add-on at the time of booking and is the recommended option for high-value moves. Nothing in these terms limits any non-excludable rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Prohibited & Excluded Items
We will not transport hazardous, illegal or perishable items including: explosives, ammunition, flammable liquids, gas bottles, paints, fireworks, narcotics, firearms (unless declared and lawfully held), live animals and frozen or refrigerated food. Where such items are discovered after loading, we may refuse to deliver them and you indemnify us for any liability arising.
9. Delays & Events Beyond Our Control
We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, severe weather, accidents, road closures, building access restrictions, third-party real-estate or strata delays, or other events beyond our reasonable control. We will keep you informed and reschedule where reasonable to do so.
10. Complaints, Disputes & Governing Law
If you are unhappy with any part of our service, contact us within 7 days of the move at info@campsieremovals.com.au or on 0481 879 205. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
